Personal leadership

Daniel Scrimenti

Owner / Lead Consultant

Your concerns deserve someone who has spent years planning for difficult situations and helping people work through them.

Experience is valuable when it makes life easier for the client.

Inviting a consultant into your home or discussing a sensitive family situation takes trust. You need to know that the person listening understands real-world risks, communicates without judgment, and can give you clear answers instead of unnecessary alarm.

Daniel has built his career around responsibility for people, property, operations, and emergency decisions. He has worked on the front lines and in senior leadership, from responding to urgent incidents to managing complex security programs. That mix of hands-on experience and careful planning informs the way he approaches each assessment.

At Carolina Tactical and Consulting LLC, you work directly with Daniel. He takes the time to understand what is happening, explains the reasons behind each recommendation, and helps turn a conversation into practical steps that fit your home and everyday life.

A closer look at Daniel's background

Experience earned through service, responsibility, and real-world decisions.

Each chapter of Daniel's career adds a different perspective to the same goal: recognizing risk early, responding thoughtfully, and helping people feel more secure in the places that matter most.

U.S. Army Military Police

Sergeant (E-5) | 2007-2015

Daniel served in the United States Army as a Military Police Sergeant (E-5). Military police service demands attention to security, professional judgment, disciplined procedures, and accountability. As a noncommissioned officer, his background was shaped by the importance of preparation, clear communication, and making sound decisions when circumstances are changing.

For his clients today, that foundation translates into a structured approach to reviewing risks and prioritizing solutions. Daniel looks at the details, considers how people actually use their spaces, and develops recommendations that are understandable and practical rather than overwhelming.

Firefighting and emergency medical services

Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company | 2012-2016

Daniel also served as a Firefighter / EMT with Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company. Fire and EMS work teaches a different, equally important side of safety: how to recognize hazards, assess urgent needs, communicate with people who are under stress, and plan for emergencies before they happen.

His documented training and credential history includes Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced EMT (AEMT), Fire I, and Hazardous Materials Operations, together with CPR, First Aid, AED, and Basic Life Support (BLS). His EMS education also included the Bridgeport Hospital Emergency Medical Institute. These qualifications and training experiences inform his understanding of incident assessment, emergency preparedness, and household safety.

That perspective matters in a residence. Daniel considers more than camera coverage and door hardware. He also looks at emergency access, potential hazards, family communication, practical readiness, and whether the plan makes sense for the people who will actually use it, including children and older adults.

Public safety systems and emergency planning

SecurAmerica | Director, Security / Public Safety | 2014-2016

As a Director of Security / Public Safety with SecurAmerica, Daniel helped establish an emergency operations center, including dispatcher hiring and training, and implemented security policies and emergency procedures. He also directed security operations and logistics in a multi-property commercial environment.

Building these systems required the same skills that make an effective household safety plan: identifying what could go wrong, deciding how people should communicate, creating sensible procedures, and making sure the plan can actually be followed. It is experience in turning an assessment into a workable process, not simply producing a list of concerns.

Federal detention operations and incident leadership

United Security Incorporated | Lieutenant | 2019-2022

Daniel served as a Lieutenant in federal detention operations supporting the U.S. Marshals Service. His role involved supervising personnel, compliance reviews, high-risk incident response, and coordination with federal authorities in an environment where discretion, documentation, and operational consistency were essential.

That experience strengthened his ability to remain methodical when the circumstances are sensitive or complicated. Clients navigating stressful situations benefit from the same steady approach: listen closely, separate immediate concerns from longer-term priorities, and work through clear next steps without creating added anxiety.

Security management, investigations, and company ownership

Allied Universal, major retailers, and Carolina Protective Services

At Allied Universal, Daniel managed approximately $7 million in annual security services across multiple locations and had leadership responsibility for approximately 220 personnel, supported by an established management and supervisory structure. The work involved staffing, contract compliance, service quality, client relationships, and day-to-day accountability.

His corporate background also includes leading asset-protection and safety investigations with Target and Walmart, as well as responsibility for safety, security, fire, and emergency-management programs in a major retail operation. This work sharpened his ability to assess environments, document findings, train teams, and identify practical improvements.

As Owner and Chief Operating Officer of Carolina Protective Services, Daniel directed business-wide security operations, staffing, recruiting, training programs, contracts, purchasing, and client service. He was also an escalation point for incidents and crises. Being responsible for the entire customer experience reinforced a simple standard he brings to his consulting work today: be accessible, be clear about the work, and follow through on what you say you will do.

Disaster response and community leadership

Hurricanes Florence and Helene | The Coalition Project

During Hurricane Florence, Daniel served as an emergency-response director for Allied Universal in North Carolina, maintaining accountability for more than 200 security officers and coordinating resources and personnel from five states. It was a large-scale operational assignment requiring communication, logistics, and decision-making during widespread disruption.

Following Hurricane Helene, Daniel's leadership through The Coalition Project, a disaster-relief nonprofit he founded, included coordinating volunteers, search-and-rescue and aid-delivery efforts, supplies, and assistance to affected communities. His emergency-management training includes NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800.

These experiences reinforced something he brings to every assessment: people do not need a complicated plan they cannot remember. They need a thoughtful plan that reflects their circumstances, identifies priorities, and gives them the confidence to take the next step.

Why that experience matters

Sound judgment. Clear answers. Personal attention.

Whether you are reviewing the safety of your home, setting up residential cameras, or working through a difficult personal situation, Daniel brings the perspective of a first responder, a military veteran, a security leader, and a business owner. He is here to help you feel more capable and comfortable, not to make a difficult situation feel bigger than it is.
